Students
taking this advance course for Certification will receive additional training in
Reflexology, various health conditions, herbology, and anatomy. Upon completion
the student will be a Certified Reflexologist with RRS and can use the letter
designation, C.R. after his/her name. Doing this will be good for a professional
practice and client confidence.
The Certification Course of RRS offers to serious students an opportunity of
joining a growing profession. Opportunity, however, is also afforded to in-home
Reflexologists desiring to benefit family, friends, and oneself. Learning how to
work on others as a Reflexology practitioner or for self-treatment, makes
Reflexology a premier modality.
SOURCE MATERIALS AND CURRICULUM:
Reflexology, the Safe Alternative by Fred Rittenhouse, N.D., is the
course Textbook. It gives detailed instructions in Reflexology, anatomy,
ailments, and herbal remedies. The on-line Manual (Healing Starts with the
Sole, also by Dr. Rittenhouse) acquaints the student with basic body
(organs/systems) and skeletal (especially foot) anatomy. Additions and
Clarifications to Reflexology and information about starting your own
Reflexology business (practice) are all included. Also, RRS-Instructional
on-line video continues to provide complete instructions and demonstrations
in professional Reflexology techniques. These advance students will be given
further training by observing and analyzing Seminar Demonstrations on-line
video. And by listening to the on-line Certification Lecture.
190 HOUR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM:
Study time--70 hours; practicum (practice sessions)--120 hours
70 HOURS FOR STUDY TIME:
Includes study, viewing videos, and review of all source materials and any
relevant published books or articles.
PRACTICUM:
Are practice sessions on actual feet including video-taped practice sessions and
Exam.
120 hour practicum is equivalent to 120 Reflexology practice sessions. 4 stage
practicum: 118 hour practicum performed on 16 people receiving 5 sessions each;
leaving 38 sessions that can be on these same individuals or others (to the
extent possible), two-1 hour each video-taped practice sessions, and the
video-taped (12 minutes on each foot) Exam.
VIDEO-TAPED PRACTICE SESSIONS:
The two-1 hour each practice sessions should be video-taped at different times
throughout the course. This allows us a better way to monitor your performance,
and send you e-mailed suggestions. We believe it creates a type of one on one
experience, helping you perfect your techniques.
Study time and practicum (except Exam) are to be recorded on the Documentation
Logs.
The Certification Exam comes in 2 parts: Written and Practical. Prerequisites
must first be submitted: Assignments, videotaped sessions, and signed and dated
Documentation Logs for both study time and practice sessions.
THE WRITTEN EXAM:
It consists of naming the bones of the human skeleton; to identifying foot
bones, fill in
Reflexology foot maps, and list the body systems.
THE
PRACTICAL EXAM:
Is video-taped and consists of a complete Reflexology treatment on all aspects
of each foot, though abbreviated to 12 minutes on each foot; a total of 24
minutes. Students will want to closely duplicate the procedures and techniques
on the RRS-videos, while realizing that a professional Reflexology treatment
generally takes 25-40 minutes. The 2-part Exam, Written and Practical, can be
submitted together or separately.
Note: Video-tapes will not be returned.

Healing Begins With the Sole, the on-line Manual is part of the course
materials and is included in the tuition (students should already have the
course Textbook and the RRS-Instructional on-line video
- Seminar Demonstrations on-line video is included in the tuition
- Certification Diploma will be awarded upon completion
